Megan's BFF DJ


After losing Hoser we never thought we would find another cat quite like her. DJ (short for Dirty Jobs) certainly has surpassed all of our expectations. We have only had DJ for three months and he has already taken on many of the characteristics that made Hoser the cat of our dreams. DJ and Megan are the best of friends. He is equally patient and clear with her on his boundaries. We think he is going to be a big cat and Megan already struggles with carrying him around the house. DJ is always on Megan's heels as she toddles around the house and now outside. The two of them are like "Peas and Carrots." DJ enjoys sleeping with Megan and absolutely hates the dogs (smart cat). We certainly consider ourselves very lucky to have a cat that is as sweet and patient as DJ.

At bedtime and naptime, DJ will hear us and come from nowhere to join Megan in bed. If he is outside, Megan is quick to inform us, "DJ, ni-ni." Those two are just the best of friends. DJ gets to sleep with Megan during her naps and at night until we go to bed (because of the dogs sleeping in our room). She often wakes in the middle of the night and is quite upset that he is gone. I got some shots of them sleeping together on Saturday night.

This cat loves the water, it is not abnormal for him to join you in the shower or bath tub. He will play with water in the sink and sleeps in the sink.
