Megan Trick or Treating...

It has become an annual event, our Halloween adventures. I take the afternoon off to tend to my dogs. Those who know me well know that I do not like changes in my routine and never leave my dogs alone for more than their "allotted" times. So I headed home at noon and played with the dogs (and scrubbed my kennel room - again, those who know me well...), fed them and headed into town with all of Megan's Halloween gear, except her bag, I FORGOT HER BAG, but I knew Jana would have one for her. So, I picked her up at Vicki's and we went over to Auntie Gina's for the transformation. Megan sure makes a lovely little Cinderella. We took some photos in Gina's front yard and practiced Trick or Treating a few times (it was very fun). Then we headed over to the Animal Clinic (Doesn't everyone go to their Veterinarian for holidays?) to say hi to all of our friends! They were disappointed that Trigger wasn't dressed this year, but I ran out of time! After the chaos of being at the clinic we headed to Jana's house. She loaded up on Candy and various Cinderella items, which she was VERY excited about. Oh, and her "Boo Bear," a beanie ghost shaped bear with a pumpkin. We went to Teresa's and Dad got to have a beer and talk hunting and fishing with Mike (made his day) and we snacked on chips and home made salsa. We then hit our final stops at Stacey (Lady Grz) and Jeff's. Megan made herself at home and was very excited about the Cinderella spoon and fork they got for her. She also got to see their new lizard and got the honor of naming him. She named him "GottaWatchPig." Maybe she didn't intend on naming him that, but it stuck. We all think it is funny! We then headed across the street to "Dr. Danny and Jo-Lynn's" where Megan got to see the Cinderella Pumpkin Dan carved for her! She was SO excited!!! She trick or treated there, visited for a while and then got to see the cute cow socks (mom LOVES them) and Cinderella Blanket that Dan and Jo-Lynn got for her, which made her night! We then headed down the street to a house that Ryan worked on a while back and unfortunately the homeowners were not home, but their parents were, and when they opened the door Megan walked right in! I am sure that has something to do with the fact that she helped herself to everyone else's houses! She got to meet Sophie the Beagle (not the BDE Sophie we all know, but another one) and see the beautiful work Daddy did. We then grabbed some dinner and headed home. She curled up on the chair with her new blanket to read her books and then off to bed with her Cinderella Blanket and Boo Bear. DJ was so happy we were home, he was out after dark, OH NO! He was fine, and loved the new soft blanket as well.

So what happens to all of the Candy? Well, Megan does not like Chocolate (she gets that from her dad) so I will take care of that problem. He he. Actually she is not much of a candy kid at all, but I am sure that will change. Mostly she just loves Cinderella. :)
