Megan enjoys the Fair

Patiently waiting for Dad to return home from hunting Megan and I planned out our day at the fair. We talked about seeing animals and riding the rides. I explained that Mommy will never go on rides because she turns green, but Daddy loves rides. Am I damaging my child? When Ryan got home from hunting we got ready to go. Mommy was not involved in the shoe choice so Megan ended up in her favorite green crocs. When we arrived at the fair, we were pleasantly surprised to see a miniature horse show going on. We fell in love with the miniature donkey and mule. Oh my gosh they were so cute. The kids were adorable showing them, and first place went to a good friend of ours. Next we headed to the pig barn (Dad's idea). Megan wasn't sure what she thought about the big boar that came over to say hello to her through the fence. She was quite brave. She got to say hello to our friend's sheep, Cocoa. We headed over to the rides where she enjoyed going on the carousel and airplane rides. From the airplane ride she could look down and point out all of the other rides she also wanted to go on. Yup, she is her father's daughter. We met up with our good friends Dan and Jo-Lynn and headed over to the games so Daddy could win Megan a toy. He was hustled and ended up winning Megan a monkey and Jo-lynn a funky ball creature for a "bargain" price. Ahem. After an elephant ear and some time at the picnic tables we went back over tot he miniature horses and Megan got to spend some time with another friend's miniature horse Baxter. They had a great time together. She enjoyed feeding him grass, he enjoyed that too. On our way out we found a miniature mule for sale and thought about it for just a few minutes, and then came to our senses. Overall we all had a wonderful time at the fair!

In the livestock barns.

At the carousel, she had to pick out just the right Jo-Jo. Notice the coloration. She is so her Mother's daughter! :)

Our fearless daughter on the airplane ride.

With the monkey Daddy won for her. It was a great tool for keeping her close.

At the picnic tables where she was very willing to share her toy with a new friend!

Saying hello to Baxter.
